This is the hotel I chose for this 2-night, 3-day trip with my mom! It’s a hotel located in the heart of Namba, so it was really great because you can walk to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi..💙 It was also great for planning sightseeing routes, and it was really convenient for going to and from the airport!
This is a hotel where you can enjoy a hot spring in downtown Osaka and feel the atmosphere of a ryokan! If you want to enjoy a hot spring in the city and the ryokan vibe, I recommend it!

✅City sightseeing
Incheon departure at 7:10 → arrival at Kansai Airport at 9:00 On the first day of arrival, we added some rest and sightseeing!

Namba, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 542-0076, Japan
When coming from Kansai Airport to Namba, Rapit is the fastest and most convenient! If you want to save on transportation, you can take the airport express train, but since I was traveling with my mom, I chose Rapit! If you book Rapit in advance domestically, it costs about 14,700 won! Airport Express is 920 yen! If you want to save on transportation or have plenty of time before your flight, the Airport Express (it feels like a regular subway) is more than enough. For the Airport Express, you can pay directly with an ICOCA or IC card before boarding, and Rapit requires a separate limited express ticket, so I recommend purchasing it in advance online domestically!

A place called Nikutareya Just a 5-minute walk from Namba Station! This was our first meal before hotel check-in! It’s a famous wagyu rice bowl place, and a really great spot for lunch in Osaka. For a medium size, it was in the 10,000-won range, and the value was really good! The meat quality was also great and juicy, so definitely try it👍🏻

2-chōme-8-17 Sennichimae, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 542-0074, Japan
It’s most convenient to stay near Namba Station If it’s your first time in Osaka, I recommend Namba over Umeda! (Umeda Station is quite more complicated than Namba) After eating, we left our luggage and rested in the hotel lounge while drinking unlimited snacks and juice then checked in and took a short nap (because we departed from early dawn and my mom was tired!) At Namba Oriental Hotel, lounge use is free from 2 PM to 10 PM! In the lounge, you can eat unlimited snacks, drinks, alcohol, and more My mom liked it the most😘

1-chōme-10-3 Dōtonbori, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 542-0071, Japan
The accommodation was really close to Dotonbori, so we stepped out for a bit and took a 인증샷 too! In Osaka, a Glico sign photo is a must! The daytime is a bit less crowded than in the evening, and if you go down to the lower level instead of the upper one and take the photo, it’s less crowded and better!

1-1 Ōsakajō, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 540-0002, Japan
Osaka’s symbol and a must-see course! Actually, this was my fourth visit so I wasn’t that excited, but it’s a place that mothers really love haha. A must for a mother-daughter trip! To enter the castle tower, there is a fee; admission is 1,200 yen for adults (free with the Osaka Amazing Pass) The surrounding park itself is free, and even without entering the inside, it’s spacious and pretty, so just taking a walk is enough and very nice! You can also take a boat ride on the river near the castle!

1-chōme-1-43 Abenosuji, Abeno Ward, Osaka, 545-6016, Japan
Harukas 300, the highest observatory in Osaka! A place where you can take in the full view of Osaka city at once If you visit around sunset, you can see both the sunset + night view at the same time! Tickets are a little cheaper if you book online in advance than at the venue! On cloudy days, I recommend seeing only the night view instead of the sunset!

Japan, 〒543-0028 Osaka, Tennoji Ward, Obasechō, 13−18 リッチハイムアルテ上本町 1F
This is an okonomiyaki restaurant that became popular among Koreans after being introduced as No. 1 on Pungja’s YouTube series Jjotganjip! It’s a Tennoji restaurant where you can properly eat Osaka-style okonomiyaki, so it was perfect for a meal after sightseeing Harukas! It’s also fun because you grill it yourself on an iron griddle! If possible, 꼭 make a reservation!

✅Kyoto Bus Tour
A day spent on an all-day Kyoto day bus tour from morning to evening! Using a bus tour lets you efficiently visit major attractions without worrying about transportation routes. Kyoto has so many things to see that one day feels tight, but if you move around by choosing only the key spots, you can still enjoy a very fulfilling day.

Kyoto
I had a hearty breakfast and used the Kyoto day-trip bus tour from early in the morning! It’s a one-day tour to enjoy from morning to evening If, like me, your travel schedule is short but you still want to go to Kyoto, and you’re traveling with your parents, I recommend using a Kyoto day tour for good value!

Arashiyama Genrokuzancho, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto, 616-0007, Japan
Arashiyama is a nature spot located in western Kyoto, and walking through the bamboo grove (Chikurin) is the highlight. It’s nice to take a stroll while also seeing Togetsukyo Bridge, and there are many dessert shops and souvenir shops nearby, making it a great place to look around!

1 Kinkakujichō, Kita Ward, Kyoto, 603-8361, Japan
The magnificent temple Kinkaku-ji, with its gold-covered exterior reflected in the pond! As one of Kyoto’s representative photo spots, visiting on a clear day makes for a really beautiful reflection shot. The viewing route is simple, and 30 to 40 minutes is enough to see everything. Admission is 500 yen!

68 Fukakusa Yabunouchichō, Fushimi Ward, Kyoto, 612-0882, Japan
Kyoto’s 대표 landmark shrine, Fushimi Inari Taisha, famous for its tunnel of thousands of red torii gates! It takes about 2 hours to reach the summit (233m above sea level), but even going up only to the halfway point is enough to feel the atmosphere. It’s always crowded, so taking photos is difficult, but it has a mysterious feeling, and admission is free!

1-chōme-294 Kiyomizu, Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto, 605-0862, Japan
Kiyomizu-dera (Seishu-ji), Kyoto’s landmark temple The view of Kyoto city from the wooden stage is breathtaking✨ Admission is 500 yen for adults! It’s the most famous spot for spring cherry blossoms and especially for autumn foliage!

Japan, 〒605-0826 Kyoto, Higashiyama Ward, Masuyachō, 清水2丁目363−12
The street that naturally connects from Kiyomizu-dera is the Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka alleyways! This area has souvenir shops and cafes gathered together, so after visiting the temple, it’s fun to stroll slowly and look around. The Kyoto bus tour ends with Kiyomizu-dera!

2-chōme-5-4 Nipponbashi, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 542-0073, Japan
The bus tour drops you off near Dotonbori, and this is Namba’s popular restaurant, 'Sukiyaki Shabu-Shabu Nihonbashi Tsuruya', which is just a short walk away You can enjoy it as a single-serving sukiyaki too, and the meat quality is high, so it’s perfect for soothing your tired body after a day trip to Kyoto. This was the place my mom said was the most delicious🥰

7-13 Souemonchō, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 542-0084, Japan
After dinner, we went shopping at Don Quijote! It’s the most crowded among the Osaka Don Quijote locations, so I’d recommend another branch🥲 We shopped at the Dotonbori branch because it was closest for our route!

9 Nanbasennichimae, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 542-0075, Japan
Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street, a specialized shopping street for kitchenware! It's one of Osaka's hidden shopping spots. It has everything from knives, pots, and bowls to commercial tableware, so it's like heaven for people who love cooking. It's also perfect for picking up one Japanese kitchen item as a souvenir, and it's fun just to look around. It's not very large, so it's nice for a light stroll!

Japan, 〒542-0076 Osaka, Chuo Ward, Namba, 5-chōme−1−60 なんばCITY 本館 地下2階
GU is a sister brand of Japan's Uniqlo, and it's a great place for clothes shopping because the prices are low and there are Japan-exclusive designs too. I included this course because my mom likes shopping for clothes! There are branches everywhere, so just go to one that's close to your route, and it's the perfect brand for budget-friendly shopping mainly for basic items!

1 Chome-9 Dotonbori, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 542-0071, Japan
We came back to the Dotonbori area and had some simple snacks like takoyaki and melon bread ice cream, and I let my mom see the flashy signs of Dotonbori!

1番地 Senshūkūkōkita, Izumisano, Osaka 549-0001, Japan
From Namba to Kansai Airport, we took the Nankai Railway limited express Rapit. If you board at Namba Station, you can get to the airport in about 38 minutes! It's faster than the regular airport express (about 50 minutes), and since it has reserved seating, it's especially convenient when you have a lot of luggage. The airport express is cheaper, but it's like a regular subway, so please note that you may have to stand! Especially when departing from Namba, there are really a lot of people
