Hitachi Kamine Park is a comprehensive recreational facility located in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, approximately 100 kilometers northeast of Tokyo. Established in 1957, the park spans 36 hectares and sits atop Mount Kamine, offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding coastal landscape. The park's most distinctive feature is its zoo, which houses over 1,000 animals representing more than 100 species, including elephants, giraffes, lions, and Japanese macaques. Cherry blossom season transforms the park into one of Ibaraki's premier hanami spots, with approximately 1,000 cherry trees blooming in spring, drawing significant crowds during late March and early April.

By car, the park is approximately 90 minutes from central Tokyo via the Joban Expressway, with on-site parking available. General admission to the park is free, while zoo entry requires a ticket priced at 510 yen for adults and 100 yen for children aged four through middle school.
