We usually love Kura sushi and are regular customers but honestly this one was something else. We got a table right next to the kitchen (at nearly the closure of the shop so the restaurant was empty) and it was not smelling really good + way too hot. So we asked to be moved tables which the staff seemed to first not understand then said no, even though we didn’t order anything yet anyway. So we start eating and she comes back 5/10min after saying we can move, keep in mind the whole “fight” before lasted quite some time just to be moved tables in an empty restaurant …
Anyway we got moved, all good, then I dare to want to order a Coca Cola from the menu, and on the tablet even if I press the drink/dessert menu no drink come up, only desserts, so I ask the staff again and after looking through every page of the menu on the tablet (same as I did already) she was looking in the menu for an eternity, eternity during which we could not order more sushi and the restaurant was nearly closing … and I kept telling her can you just get one from the kitchen and charge it on our table, she replied: it’s closed and kept looking through the menu as if it was her first time looking at it … my friend got pretty annoyed at that point cause we were hungry and couldn’t order food during this whole nonsense.
Honestly my worst experience at Kura sushi, the staff was clearly clueless and not the sharpest knifes in the cupboard for sure which made our experience full of unnecessary friction and anger.
PS: the staff was not Japanese so it was not a translation issue.
私たちは普段からくら寿司が大好きで、常連なのですが、正直に言って今回は本当にひどい体験でした。
閉店間際で店内がほぼ空いている状態だったにもかかわらず、厨房のすぐ隣の席に案内され、においも良くなく、しかもとても暑かったです。そこで席を替えてほしいとお願いしたところ、スタッフは最初こちらの言っていることを理解していない様子で、その後「無理です」と言われました。しかも、その時点ではまだ何も注文していませんでした。
仕方なくそのまま食べ始めたところ、5〜10分後に「席を移っていい」と言われました。ですが、それまでに席を替えてもらうだけでかなり長い時間のやり取りがあり、空いている店内でなぜここまで揉めるのか理解できませんでした。
その後席は移れたのでそれは良かったのですが、次にメニューからコカ・コーラを注文しようとしたところ、タブレットでドリンク／デザートのメニューを押しても、ドリンクが一切表示されず、デザートしか出てきませんでした。そこで再度スタッフを呼ぶと、私たちがすでに確認したのと同じように、タブレットの全ページを延々と探し続けていました。その間、追加でお寿司を注文することもできず、店もほぼ閉店時間でした。
私は何度も「厨房からコーラを持ってきて、テーブルに付けてくれればいい」と言ったのですが、「もう閉まっています」と言われ、その後もまるで初めてそのメニューを見るかのように、ずっと画面を見続けていました。友人もその時点でかなりイライラしていて、私たちはお腹が空いているのに、この無意味なやり取りのせいで何も注文できませんでした。
正直、くら寿司での体験としては過去最悪でした。スタッフは明らかに状況を把握できておらず、対応も鈍く、不必要な摩擦と怒りだけが残る体験でした。
