Unique and Positive Experience!
The Maiko was definitely a noteworthy portion of the night. I would recommend coming with some questions prepared or at least themes to make the conversation more free flowing, but even though we three didn’t have much to ask initially, Josh was able to steer us to some common subjects. Overall very glad we booked this and learned more about this Japanese sub-culture.
Magical evening in Gion meeting a real Maiko
I had such a lovely experience with Akko! She was incredibly kind, warm and friendly, and made the whole evening feel very natural and special. We walked around Gion before having dinner with a Maiko, and Akko shared lots of interesting insights along the way. She was also so sweet about helping me take some great photos around Kyoto, which I really appreciated as I was travelling on my own. A beautiful and memorable evening - thank you, Akko!
