나라현 야마토코리야마에 위치한 고리야마 성터는 일본 봉건 시대의 역사적 유적지입니다. 16세기에 쓰쓰이 준케이에 의해 건축되었으며, 이후 도요토미 히데요시의 동생인 도요토미 히데나가의 지배하에 거점이 되었습니다. 히데나가는 성을 확장하여 이 지역을 정치·경제의 중심지로 만들었습니다.

메이지 시대에 봉건 제도가 해체되면서 이 성은 폐성되었습니다. 오늘날 방문객들은 석벽, 해자, 그리고 기초 흔적을 볼 수 있습니다. 봄에는 벚꽃이 피어 많은 사람들이 찾으며, 특히 연례 축제 기간에 더욱 붐빕니다. 현재는 공원으로 조성되어 사무라이 시대의 유산을 보존하고 있습니다.

야마토고리야마시에 있는 고리야마성은 윤곽식평산성 이다. 1580년 츠스이 준케이가 축성하여 한때는 하시바 히데요시의 동생 히데나가가 성주로 있었다. 에도시대 마츠다이라가 혼다가 야나기사와가등 5가문 17명의 영주가 성주로 통치했다 이성은 내해자 중간해자 외해자의 3중해자로 둘러싸여있다 현존건물은 없으나 해자와 이시가키가 양호한 상태로 남아있다

성 자체는 발군이라 하기 어렵지만, 계속해서 정비하고 있습니다. 2019년 9월 현재 천수각을 곧바로 이어주는 극락교 복원사업을 진행하고 있습니다. 자료에 입각한 고증을 기대합니다.
