골동 기모노를 쉽게 착용할 수 있는 의상으로 변형하는 방법을 배워보세요. 참가자들은 250점이 넘는 골동 기모노 중에서 선택할 수 있으며, 수업에서는 다림질로 접착심지를 붙이는 방법, 허리끈용 고리를 바느질하는 방법, 그리고 기모노를 다른 액세서리와 조화롭게 연출하는 방법을 가르칩니다. 강사는 일본 자수와 디자인을 전공했으며, 전통 기모노 착용 과정에서 겪었던 어려움 때문에 쉽게 착용할 수 있는 기모노를 만들고자 하는 열정을 갖고 있습니다. 또한 지인들과 함께 사용되지 않는 기모노를 수집하고, 구매를 통해 장애인 시설을 지원하고 있습니다. 이 수업은 키가 크거나 전통적인 기모노 착용 과정이 어려운 사람들을 포함하여 더 많은 사람들이 기모노의 전통적인 아름다움을 즐길 수 있게 하고, 동시에 환경적 지속 가능성도 증진하는 것을 목표로 합니다.

Beautiful vintage kimonos, great hosts
The vintage kimono selection for women was lovely with many different patterns and choices of fabric. There were lovely coordinating obis either with flat panels or fancy bows and coordinating cords. Several of the garments only needed minimal hemming to fit. The instructors also gave a guide for wearing. Would highly recommend this experience!
