A hidden gem with free admission!
Super convenient to access since it’s very close to Sendai Station. It might not be the most spacious observation deck, but the views of the surrounding cityscape are lovely. Highly recommend stopping by for a few minutes to check it out!
The AER Observation Terrace on the 31st floor is one of Sendai’s best-kept secrets — and it’s completely free! From the top, you get a stunning panoramic view of the city, the mountains in the distance, and even a glimpse of the ocean on a clear day.
It’s quiet, spacious, and perfect for taking a short break or snapping beautiful photos, especially at sunset when the city lights start to sparkle.
Free entry. Just find the AER office building and take the lift up. Good views of the city from above. Flat city
It took me a while to find the right elevators to get to, that leads in 31 floors up to do top. I know it's free, and not officially for tourists, but plaques showing us where significant landmarks would help.
Very nice place to see whole Sendai area. Few minutes walk from Sendai station.
Highly recommend for 1st time Sendai visitors.
Sendai airport, port, station etc clearly visible. Good thing is, entrance free. Not very crowded too.
