Please check the season as they are famously known for Fuji or Wisteria abd the entry price is the highest in April to May when they are in bloom. Other times came be a bit higher as well but they lost them on the website site as well as the flowers conditions so you won't go and be disappointed. It's quite large and has a variety of flowers. If you want to see the Wisteria, I recommend going early to beat some of the crowd as the peak season is around Japan's Golden Week holiday.
Overall, it's a really nice flower park but a bit far from central Tokyo. Worth the trip is if you love flowers and want to stroll around while enjoying the view and smell of the flowers!
A truly amazing experience when visiting during peak wisteria flowering season. It is unlike any other flower festival or garden experience we have been too. The wisterias are very mature trees and have been diligently cared for leading to an astonishing flowering extravaganza that has to be seen to be believed. There were just so many jaw dropping displays. It was so good that we went back twice in 4 days as the first visit was during a rainy day. And it was still awe inspiring the second time round.
I proposed to my girlfriend here and she said yes. The beautiful flowers and wisteria were blooming. One of the most beautiful and well taken care of gardens ive ever seen. We have been in japan since January and this is the most beautiful garden we have seen. 10 out of 10. Wisteria ice cream is a must try. Along with all the wisteria flavored everything. Cute water features.
The park is beautiful! It very worth making the trek out to see it! As of May 6th 2026, most of the wisteria is already done blooming already. Roses however are in full bloom and still lots of other beautiful flowers to see, but don’t expect to see a lot of purple wisteria from the ads at this time. I think in mid April with the Azalea would be spectacular!
However - at night something magical happens and even the withered wisteria looked beautiful! It is worth seeing it light up at night.
I would recommend checking the train schedule ahead of time too because the express back to Tokyo was all sold out.
We visited on 28 April 2026 at 5:45pm to obtain views during daylight and also the night time lights. Both offer stunning views with different perspectives. There were wisterias of different hues and also plenty of other very beautiful flowers. The crowds were manageable even though it’s very near to Golden Week. We felt the entrance fee of 2100 yen is well worth the money.
