The scenery is stunning in spring, featuring a vast canola flower field with sakura lining the main road. Though only ruins remain, the massive scale of the field lets you imagine the grandeur of the ancient Fujiwara Palace. It’s now a peaceful spot for locals to relax.
Better to get there by car. There are parking lots at different locations. Early Oct is not the best blooming period but should be less crowded. Good to have a relaxing walk with family or pet.
I was hoping for some rapeseed flowers or any field of flowers but was disappointed. Did not find anything near daigo pond either. 😢
Its ok, I knew it was a complete ruins and there is nothing left except for a vast field and became a play ground of sorts for the locals to relax.
But the field is massive, one can imagine how big the palace was for the fujiwara back in ancient days...
If u like a place to have a picnic then its nice.
Otherwise there is nothing to see even old ruins rocks...
