What other travelers are saying about Bungy Japan Ryujin Bungy
First jump in Japan. Took a while to get to the location but trains and a bus got me there. Beautiful location and great staff.
This should be on your list when in Japan.
Participants must be at least 15 years old to jump. The weight requirements are between 40 and 105 kilograms. There is no upper age limit as long as you meet the health requirements and weight criteria. Minors under 18 years old need parental or guardian consent before jumping.
The standard jump costs ¥19,000 for first-time jumpers, which includes GoPro footage and digital images. If you want to jump a second time on the same day, it costs ¥8,000. Repeat visitors who have certification and ID from previous jumps pay ¥11,000. These prices are separate from the bridge crossing fee of ¥300 for adults if you just want to walk across.
Yes, advance reservations are highly recommended and often essential, especially on weekends and during holidays. While walk-ins are sometimes accepted, you may face waiting times of up to three hours during busy periods. Booking ahead ensures your preferred time slot and reduces waiting time significantly.
If you have heart conditions, epilepsy, high blood pressure, bone disorders, back or neck problems, recent surgeries, or if you're pregnant, you must inform the staff in advance. These conditions don't automatically disqualify you from jumping, but the operators need to assess each case individually for safety reasons. It's best to contact them directly with specific medical concerns before making a reservation.
Take the JR Suigun Line to Hitachiota Station, then board an Ibaraki Kotsu bus heading to Iriai or Baji Iriguchi and get off at the Ryujin Otsuribashi stop. The bus journey takes about 40 minutes, but be aware that there are only 3-4 buses per day, so check the schedule carefully in advance. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from Hitachiota Station, which takes approximately 35 minutes.
Great to experience bungy jumping, the view is great and the staffs are friendly.
You can take video when jumping by attaching your go pro on your arm or even manually taping your phone on your hand. Please bring your own tape because they do not prepare it.
After bungy jumping, you also can take a walk across the bridge. And in the information map there, it mentioned that you can take a mini-course back to the entrance/parking area by not crossing the bridge. There are many steep stairs you should climb up and down so i do not recommend you to take the course unless you want to work out.
