Ebisu Bridge in Osaka is one of the most famous spots in Dotonbori. It is a lively and busy bridge where many people stop to take photos, enjoy the canal view, and feel the energetic atmosphere of Osaka. The bridge gives a great view of the colorful signs, restaurants, shops, and the famous Glico running man sign. It is especially beautiful at night when all the lights are bright and the area becomes full of life. The location is very convenient, close to Namba, Shinsaibashi, Dotonbori food streets, and many shopping areas. It is a good place to meet friends, take pictures, and start exploring the Dotonbori area. Overall, Ebisu Bridge is a must-visit place in Osaka. It is crowded but exciting, full of energy, and perfect for photos and enjoying the nightlife of Dotonbori.

Went on a weekday evening around 9 pm and it was still packed with people and very lively! Lots of cool shops and signs to look at, but I imagine these look better in the evening (I'd also heard that some of the animated displays aren't on during the daytime). We found 2 of the cool 3D video displays and they did not disappoint! Boats tours floated down the river that looked really beautiful lit up along the way with lanterns. There are many different places to get food or drinks, and endless places with wagyu meat. Even though it was crowded, it adds to the atmosphere. It's also quite spread out, so the crowds didn't feel overly chaotic - you could still get great photos of almost everything if you're there to do the tourist-y thing.

Soemoncho is one of the best areas to experience the energy of Osaka. It’s right in the heart of the city, just a short walk from Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, and Namba. The streets are filled with amazing restaurants, cafés, shops, and nightlife, making it an ideal location for both first-time visitors and returning travelers. Despite being lively, it’s easy to get around thanks to excellent public transport nearby. If you’re looking for convenience, entertainment, and authentic Osaka vibes, Soemoncho is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

Visiting the iconic Ebisu Bridge in April 2024 with my family was a wonderful experience. The bridge was completely full of people, creating a lively energy. Though crowded, the spectacular night scene is absolutely worth a visit. The bright neon lights illuminate the canal beautifully!
