The HEP FIVE Ferris Wheel, an iconic symbol of Osaka, boasts arguably the most beautiful design among the city’s various giant wheels. Although it reaches a considerable height, the wheel moves at such a gentle pace that the experience feels wonderfully relaxing and cosy rather than intimidating. Furthermore, the pods are fully air-conditioned and equipped with a speaker system to play your own music, making the 15-minute ride an absolute delight.
It was a fantastic vantage point to take in the views. It did make me slightly envious of Japan, seeing how they have these grand Ferris wheels integrated right into the heart of their cities; it truly feels like a country that has managed to keep a sense of romance alive in everyday life.

It’s easy to access right on top of the HEP FIVE mall, and the views make it totally worth it.
I went on a rainy day. The view is mainly about the city and buildings around. I could see 通天阁 from the Ferris Wheel. The ride was comfortable with good air circulation! 💕

I visited the Hep Five Ferris Wheel in September 2024, and it was an amazing experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Osaka. I arrived at around 5:30 pm, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Watching the sunset from the Ferris wheel was absolutely breathtaking—the colors of the sky and the city below were so beautiful, creating a magical atmosphere.
Fortunately, it wasn’t crowded during my visit, so the ticket purchase process was quick and hassle-free. The staff were polite and efficient, which made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.
The Ferris wheel itself is a standout attraction. As it slowly ascends, you’re treated to panoramic views of Osaka. From the top, the view is stunning, offering a unique perspective of the city. The combination of urban landscapes, distant mountains, and the warm glow of the sunset made this experience unforgettable.
The cabins are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with plenty of space to sit back and take in the scenery. It’s a relaxing ride that lasts just the right amount of time to enjoy the views without feeling rushed.
