What other travelers are saying about Fukuoka Art Museum
Great museum. Collection is interesting and manageable to get through in a couple of hours. Beautiful modernist building, I spent as much time admiring the architecture as I did the art. There are a couple of lovely restaurant/cafes on site. Definitely worth the visit
One of the best value museums in Japan. Amazingly clean, quiet with beautiful and meaningful installations of contemporary artists and even world- famous ones. The QR code scanning system with transcripts is very convenient and price for the visit is budget-friendly. I loved it.
Visited the Fukuoka Art Museum during the 'Hello Kitty' exhibition. Was a great experience. The employees are friendly and helpful. You can easily spend two days here if you want to visit all exhibitions. There are smaller special exhibits as well.
JPY 200 for entrance that we paid for there, but was very impressed with all the collections. I think we spent 3 hours here but could easily spend more. Lovely view of Ohori park. They have a gallery where you can scan QR codes to read or listen to a discussion about the piece, so bring earphones.
