Great place to watch aircraft roar overhead that almost feel close enough to touch! There is bathroom's and lots of grass space, the beach is rocky, not soft sand, and well set out for dog walking. Water looked freezing on the day I was there. Easy to see large ships and hydrofoils heading in and out as well. Parking opens at 7.30am and closes late. I was there at 5:30am so went elsewhere and came back late afternoon. Really want to go back on a clear sunny day.
In the summer, the sight of planes taking off from Runway B is spectacular!
Runway B is used when there is a southerly wind, so why not check the weather chart before you leave?
Hey, c'mon! I love B! Splash me!
The sunrise over Tokyo Bay is breathtaking. The place is hard to visit for travelers with no car especially in early morning, but it is worth all the trouble.
The nearest bus station is in walking distance, but the bus won't come until 8 am. I used Go app from Heiwajima station to this park, which costed about 3200 yen.
If you want to feel like you’ve left the busy city behind, this is the place. It offers total solitude and a unique industrial beauty. 🤫🏭 The main attraction is the proximity to Haneda Airport. You can see airplanes descending right over the water like falling stars. 🛫🌠 The sound of waves and jet engines is strangely meditative. 🌊✨
A good beach to spend time, watching non-stop flights landing at Haneda Airport. It’s a sandy beach with no swimming allowed but you can sit with your feet in water and enjoy the wastness of sea and view of airplanes and ships. There was enough vending machines and toilets. Parking for first hour is ¥300.
