I went to listen to a rakugo performance by the Gotogi no Kai group, which is run by Danshun and five other people. It was my first time in this town, so I didn't know what to do. I rented a bicycle at the station and returned it at the port near the hall. On the way back, it was about a 15-minute walk to the station.
The hall is quite old, but in good condition. The large hall has a capacity of about 1,400 people, but the rakugo performance was held in the small hall, which has a capacity of about 300 seats. The stage was also quite large.
It was a nice facility. I was surprised at how many restrooms there were considering the facility's size. It was a visitor-friendly facility.
When I first went, it was difficult to find the parking lot. It's a paid parking lot on the south side.
Despite its compact size, the hall has seating up to three floors. The front row of the second floor seats probably offers the best view. The seats are relatively low for a second floor, so you don't really feel like you're looking down on the stage. There's a Family Mart right in front and an Apita (supermarket) next door, so you won't have any trouble killing time. It's also within walking distance of the nearest station. I wonder where the parking lot was? I couldn't find it...
