Random Friday night. No plans.
Kanni Station is a bit small
But decked out for the team. Love the community camaraderie and the cleanliness of the station.
So boom, a few steps away we pull up to Yokohama Stadium for my first-ever Japanese baseball game and let me tell you… Japan loves baseball the way America loves football. This wasn’t just a game it was an experience.
All I know is…
I’m definitely coming back.
It’s close to the house, it’s clean, it’s fun, and it’s a vibe for the whole fam.
📍 Yokohama Stadium
🧢 BayStars Nation
Be careful: the South exit only has escalators up, but no escalators down and no lift. It can get super crowded if there’s a baseball game on; or an event at the nearby cultural gymnasium or buntai.
Accessible but always busy. Constant foot traffic. Please note where you want to go and be aware of where the exits are, to avoid crashing or running into people. Great connection to Yokohama and it's environs( via subway and local train lines). Close proximity to Yokohama Stadium.
The station that connects the Blue Liner, JR Negishi, and the JR Keihin-Tohoku lines. Pretty cool actually if you're returning to Tokyo from the Kamakura area. Except... the subway and JR stations are actually about 300-400m apart so it's not that close.
The subway station is selling the Tetsudo Musume, Takashima Azami limited edition tickets until January 2019.
The problem with this station is that the restrooms in the subway stations are for both men and ladies. An obasan angrily snapped at me for trying to get past her because I thought she was in front of the ladies’ room.
Train station adjacent to Yokohama stadium.
JR line and subway blue line trains available.
Well maintained.
