Definitely not worth a visit in 2025. Everything is overgrown and abandoned. There is nothing to see or do here unless you want to fish on the beach. If visiting Shimizu on a cruise do not waste your time or money planning to visit this beach or the area surrounding it.
I never thought that I see this place in Shimizuk-ku. It is a rocky beach and I would recommend water shoes as your sandals might get lost due to the current. The day was really beautiful that I wanted to go for a swim but I didn't bring anything to do so, just put my feet on the water, contemplated the view of Mt. Fuji and the horizon of the Pacific Ocean. Next time I'll come prepared.
While Miho Beach is a beautiful place to visit, swimming is generally not recommended due to strong currents and rocky shores. It’s more suited for walking, picnicking, and enjoying the scenic views.
Visitors to Miho Beach can enjoy walking along the shore, photography, and taking in the stunning views of Mount Fuji. The beach is also a great spot for relaxation, picnics, and experiencing the natural beauty of the coastline.
Miho Beach is accessible by bus from Shizuoka Station, with a journey time of approximately 30 minutes. The bus stop is near the beach entrance, making it easy to visit.
Yes, on clear days, Miho Beach offers spectacular views of Mount Fuji across Suruga Bay. This iconic view has been an inspiration for artists and photographers for generations.
Nearby attractions include the Miho Shrine, which is associated with the legend of Hagoromo, and the Miho no Matsubara pine forest. Both are within walking distance and offer additional cultural and natural experiences.
