Less than 20min walk from the port, the fish density and coral formation here is not nearly as dramatic as furuzamami. I did encounter a few species I did not see at furuzamami. This beach is not as crowded or commercialized. Great if you just want to find a low key place and chill!
The best beach in Aka island, hands down. There is a designated swimming zone, which goes far out enough to see some stunning coral reefs. There’s over 360 fish species, and even giant turtles and long sea snakes. There’s a sort patio with benches where you can sit down in the shadows, and two small cafes nearby to get lunch at.
I even saw some kerama deers nearby, and once we got to see the rain over Zamami island, which is clearly visible from this beach.
Truly a snorkelling paradise!
Clean beach I was the only one there with two lifeguards (who were angels btw) watching over me. I went at 10am and saw so many cool fish and coral. No sea turtles though. Got stung by box jellyfish many times so the nets don’t work 100% but it was worth it.
June 21st, I arrived 8:30 and spotted a turtle
Beautiful beach, lifeguard on duty from 0900 to 1700hr. More for the protection of corals from humans. the beautiful reefs are beyond the bouys, outlining the boundaries for snorkeling.
