This is Probaly the best “playground” in all of central ish Tokyo which is just depressing.
Japan really makes it transparent that kids have to real reason to be seen or play outdoors.
As is clear with every other “well rated” playground - the city simply does not prioritize children’s ability to play outdoors which is somewhat of a shame.
When we visited, the water park was fully closed due to pump renovation (understandably so). But why choose to renovate during the hot peak summer season?
Good for toddlers to get drenched and have fun without leaving the city , very close to sky tree .
The park is walkable from the Oshiage Skytree station. Children can dip and splash in the water. There are benches along the park stretch and people can also cycle. Toilets and playgrounds are available. Even if it is in the midst of the busy city area, the place is a refuge of relaxation and quietness. It can be a good walking area and since it is below the streets, children are in a safe zone.
The water in the pools wasn't as clean as I expected, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, there was no designated space for picnics, which made it challenging.
Toilets are available, but they are located quite far from the main areas, adding some inconvenience to the visit. However, the view of the Tokyo Skytree from the park is truly great, offering a nice backdrop to the visit.
Overall, it’s a decent spot for a one-time visit during summer for kids to play water.
Went there in mid-March 2024, very windy and cold day, not much People there .
Wonderful park. Very relaxing with a fun and long slide . Great for kids and adults. Will definitely come visit again when I'm back in the area next time.
