What other travelers are saying about Toei Kyoto Studio Park
The most underrated place as there with literally no tourists here. You get to experience the Edo period studio setups with 3-4 good attractions.
The Haunted house was really scary even for adults.
The Ninja play was also very good.
There were staff dressed as Ninja’s and Samurai, the place has shop that sell ninja related merch. They even rent Kimono that you can wear, for kids they have Ninja Costume options.
Must visit if you are with kids, and normal adults if you get time after Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.
Well I can't say it's a 5/5, but that would depend on what you're after. The EVA is there, that what I went for, the Yokai fest had good costumes and show. Other than that the set isn't bad, but it's rather just a set. Walk around once and you're done with it. Souvenir shop is good and has shuriken you probably can't buy because of plane policies. It's not bad, just not really a must-visit. Rather if you want something a bit different and/or love NGE as me.
Very kid oriented, would be a fun afternoon for a newer family.
Doesn't have many Toei IP's, but there's plenty of stores where you can buy demon slayer coats, foam swords, and ninja clothes and masks for kids all across the themed park.
I personally went for Evangellion, as I think large robots are cool, and I was happy! It's not thrilling to me as I haven't seen the series, but my friend who has says, "Yeah! It's pretty cool." So take that for what you will.
Upstairs there's a parkour course, a great option if you're kids want to feel like ninjas and get some running in, and there's a huge selection of power ranger costumes on display from all the generations, something / certainly enjoyed looking at.
Great for kids! Might be a fun date, also perfectly enjoyable solo with some earbuds and a fun playlist.
Would recommend, especially for the price!
This place is not widely publicise. I went there during the Yokai 2025 show and it was amazing. For fans who watches anime and know much about Yokai. It is an interactive space for people of all ages. The kids seems to be having fun time trying out the various interactive games. So parents might love this space. For those who don't really watch anime, u might wanna skip this location. U can buy tickets on the spot. Overall, a pleasant space.
Pretty cool place. We went during the Kaikai Yokai Festival. The costumes and the performances were amazing. If you can visit during the festival, do it after dark, because it looks a whole lot cooler.
There was a giant Eva. Looked awesome.
We visited the haunted house. It was terrifying, so bonus points for that.
Fans of Super Sentai would have probably enjoyed the exhibition. It looked cool, but I'm not a fan.
All in all, not the most amazing "amusement park", but the yokai festival made it better.
