Perfect for people who like to enjoy quiet moments. I came in summer but this place would definitely be better in spring or fall.
The lake is serene and the koi fishes are friendly.
The forest-ish side has mosquitoes, so if you're coming in the summer, be sure to have insect repellent.

Tokugawaen Garden is very peaceful and serene. A perfect escape from the city with beautiful ponds, streams, and seasonal flowers. Well-maintained and calming—highly recommended for a relaxing stroll. I visit there on summer. Will also go back in Autumn and Spring to see different colors!
Tokugawa Park is a lovely, quaint spot to enjoy both historical landmarks and beautiful views. During our visit, there was a 200 yen fee to access just the lake area, with additional fees depending on which parts of the park you'd like to explore. The weather was pleasant and calm, and we even witnessed a beautiful Japanese wedding taking place at a house by the lake, which appeared to be a reception venue. The park also features vibrant flowers, a charming man-made waterfall, and a cute souvenir shop. Overall, I’d definitely visit again, especially since there weren’t many tourists around.
There are ramps and designated routes for wheelchair users to explore the garden.
