The guide was very informative and entertaining. The cruise took around 20 mins in total. The lady who checks the tickets was extremely rude as we were waiting on our tickets from a family member. She raised her voice and told us to leave. Agree that she was doing her job but the attitude was not what I expected from a so-called “polite” place. The friendly guide made up for it in the end and we enjoyed our ride. The seats were not as comfortable as compared to Wonder cruise. Use Osaka Amazing pass for this.
If I could give my experience tonight a zero rating, I WOULD!!! The staff was extremely unprofessional and the layout was chaotic & unorganized. There are so many people loitering around or watching the river it was hard to navigate where to go. the ticketing guy who spoke some English was VERY SWEET, and he gave us directions to find the line near the river. We had a 8:30 ride, and we were in line as instructed but our line stopped, we tried to give it the benefit of the doubt because we saw another boat approaching and thought that there were multiple 8:30 boats. when staff saw our ticket they brought us out of the line and put us to the side. NO COMMUNICATION. The guy opening the gate for the lines just stared at us and did not try to speak at all. confused, the ticketing man from earlier vouched for us and explained our confusion but we still ended up waiting 15-20 minutes!!! there was a family of 5 at the same exact boat ride (8:30) that were in the same position and staff did not try to speak to us until we were finally let on a boat and let us sit on some extra seats. there were people around us also confused, just a mess. Why didn’t they do that earlier on another boat. or at least try to acknowledge or communicate? Besides the ticketing man, it was so infuriating and unprofessional. the language barrier does not help but the bigger issue was they did not TRY and ignored us. Boat experience itself brought great energy but customer service was POOR. the first picture was us standing to the side of the line and the second picture was all of us lined up with the same problem, not being acknowledged. WORST EXPERIENCE ON MY JAPAN TRIP!
This was included in our amazing pass and was a great way to see all the stores and buildings along the river. Our guide was a lot of fun too! You can’t keep your umbrella up and it is not covered so keep that in mind if going during the day on a hot sunny day
We took the noon cruise about 4 or 5pm which was less crowded. we are glad because we happen to pass by night time and the queue was insane. But however, we believe the night cruise does offer different experience. Nevertheless it was all great, friendly guide on board and we learnt some Japanese words 😁
Great experience! Guide speak English and Japanese that is audible for English speaker as well so no challenge on understanding. Seat is okay and the view is perfect. It is easy to get a ticket on the riverside. Free access to Osaka Amazing Pass as of Mar 2026.
