This is the shrine which enshrines the famous samurai Hideyoshi Toyotomi.
As he and his young brother is featured in a TV drama, I think there were more visitors than usual.
I prayed for my exam and business success. I bought a amulet for ¥1000 which is said to protect the owner from bad luck and help them succeed in life.
This is a shrine to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and supposedly his tomb as well. It's a nice little shrine that's more frequented by local Japanese than tourists, and a cool place to walk around, see the large bell, and the little dog statue inside one of the smaller shrine buildings as well.
Very few people here compared to the other shrines and temples in town. We visited towards sunset and it was beautiful. Worth a quick visit!
Very quiet shrine. Creepy most of the time. Strange why Toyotomi Shrine is located directly across the Mimizuka
Beautiful shrine, main building was adorned with intricate carvings and gold details. Went via public bus and entered via a side entrance, which had a sign that allowed entry via a small walkway.
For fans of Touken Ranbu, this is the home shrine for Honebami. You may get character-related memorabilia from the shrine office, which is partially decorated with Honebami merchandise and artwork.
