Steam drifts lazily from rooftops. Tsurumaki-Onsen is a small gem — onsen inns with kindness thicker than the water itself. Even the air feels slower here.
Tourist Tip:
Visit public baths and ryokan within 5–10 min walk. Excellent stop for one-night getaways. Local plum blossoms in early spring are stunning.
I actually loved this station. This is one of the cleanest station along Odakyu line. Wood-based walls are very comforting.
A bit out of the way.
I got off the train at the station, thinking it might be a tourist spot.
There were a few people at Kobo-no-Sato Yu, and it seemed like you could enjoy a footbath or a day trip to the hot springs.
There didn't seem to be much else to see or do as a tourist.
I went hiking on Mount Azuma.
The trailhead was a bit hard to find, so I entered cautiously, but it was just right for beginners and for getting some exercise from desk work.
Next time, I'd like to go to Tsurumaki Onsen, Mount Azuma, Mount Kobo, Koboyama Park, and finally relax at the famous Hadano Fujimi no Yu hot spring.
That kind of route sounds good!
I'm already looking forward to going again!
