One of my favorite parts of our stay in Kyoto. My son jokingly called it "Old Man Park" because I loved going here in the morning to eat some rice and eggs and watch the trains and birds.
Super safe area and a great view of the train tracks, while also (somehow!) being a peaceful nature-focused place with ducks, cranes and crows, among other wildlife.
Cannot recommend this place highly enough!! It's gorgeous, expansive, has all sorts of entertainment things going on. My daughter loved the water play area (and I loved sitting with my feet in the water on the side while my husband did all the hard work). When we explored further, there's a forest, with bird and butterfly watching, and even an amazing little local market!!! We bought some gorgeous handmade linen pants, a handmade and hand painted one of a kind haiori jacket, a few kids toys/knickknacks, and had some lovely samosas from a food truck. A phenomenal day out!!
One of the best parks to spend time with your kids. I also love the seasonal events they have there like the pool in summer. However they are a bit overpriced in my honest opinion, especially if you've got more than one child.
If you're lucky, you'll meet the bubble guy there. He's traveling around parks and does a free soap bubble show for children.
Peaceful and beautiful park. The autumn leaves are really beautiful in this park.
