This spot is a total hidden gem. You’re looking at this awesome multi-tiered waterfall tucked way back in a massive, deep green canyon, with layers of misty mountains rolling out into the background. The view is seriously epic and feels totally wild.
As for the trail, they’ve done an awesome job maintaining it. The main lookout area is kept completely clear of branches and overgrown brush, so you get a perfect, crystal-clear view of the falls without having to peek through leaves. It’s super clean and easy to enjoy.
It’s worth seeing. Not much of a water when I pay a visit. It’s super cold under the tunnel. You’ll have to use lift to get down to see the waterfall.
It’s a very pretty waterfall, but you’ll need a camera with strong zoom to appreciate it, because it’s not possible to get very close. Good as a stop on the way from one place to another, but not sure it it rates as its own destination.
Ok, I don’t mean to discredit its beauty but I am stating this from my experience only, I saw nothing in the fog. The fog was so heavy that afternoon I can only hear the running water of what could’ve been a beautiful waterfall scene. It does live up to its name as a “foggy waterfall”, haha.
I do appreciate the short walk from the carpark / bus stop to the waterfall viewing deck was quite easy, with some changes of paving materials, long logs, dirt, slabs, rocks…
The road signs are also very clear.
The view is amazing and highly recommended, anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour altogether.
Just over 300m to the observation deck.
Look for the sign near the bus stop for the trail, it's on the east side of the restaurant.
Google maps tried to take me on an small trail, this is not needed and there is little indication of where it goes.
