I loved the location, you can walk, get lost and enjoy the view while taking pretty pictures.
However the shops are very mid, you can buy souvenirs of course but the selection is not the best and it’s over priced because it is very touristy.
We went there on a weekday is was not crowded at all!
I was expecting more. A couple of shops, mostly souvenirs, and some overpriced restaurants that were fine but not outstanding. The colourful building designs are nice to look at and explore/take pics. But it feels like “oh, that’s all?”. Kokusai street is a better shopping experience imo.
It’s still an important landmark to visit when in Okinawa. As a Canadian it’s interesting to see how Okinawa Japan views America in a vintage-glory way. There’s other tourists (mostly Taiwanese and Japanese) but it’s nowhere near as crowded as Tokyo/big cities.
The boardwalk views are nice and it’s a short walk/connected to Sunset Beach. The clean stormwater drain canals were super impressive to me.
I have been all over america.. over 30 times to America. America village is interesting more like a free theme park but doesn't feel too american to me. But there was tons of japanese tourists with orion shirts there. Overall interesting place.
Love all about here so much. Great memory with this place, so colorful amd look very lifely vibe. All shops, cafe and resturants look very nice. Pork Tamako amd Blue Seal ice cream are so good. And I do love Zhuvago cafe a lot, Tramisu amd coffee there were very delicious. Tones of sourvinors there with very good price. And I do love a shop with Christmas Ornaments. I visited there in the morning with less people.
