Is this a private tour?

Yes. The tour operator runs it as a private guided tour, so you ride only with the people in your own booking.

Can I ride an electric-assist bicycle?

Yes. Electric-assist bicycles can be added for an additional fee if you are not confident in your fitness or want an easier ride. Their range is about 50 kilometers.

Can I keep cycling before or after the tour?

Yes. The terminal rents bicycles before or after the tour during its business hours, 09:00 to 18:00, for an additional fee. Electric-assist bicycles are also available.

Does the route include a temple or shrine?

The set route covers back streets, gardens, and riverside paths. The tour operator says a stop at a temple or shrine, such as Higashi Honganji or Heian Shrine, can also be made, so mention it to your guide.
