Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese technique that repairs broken ceramics using lacquer mixed with gold, highlighting the cracks rather than hiding them. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of the craft and repair a pottery piece to take home.

How long does the workshop last?

The workshop lasts approximately one hour, including a brief introduction, demonstration, hands-on repair session, and cleanup.

Do I need prior experience or artistic skills?

No. The workshop is beginner-friendly, and the instructor will guide you step by step through the process.

Is everything needed for the workshop included in the price?

Yes. All materials and tools are included, and you will take home your completed Kintsugi piece. Meals, drinks, and transportation are not included.

What should I wear to the workshop?

Wear comfortable clothing suitable for a hands-on activity. A traditional samue (workwear) may be available to wear at the studio.
