When is the best time to take this tour?

The Izumo Taisha area is beautiful year-round, but the most meaningful time is during the Kamiari Festival (usually in November), when it’s believed all the gods of Japan gather in Izumo. Spring and autumn also offer pleasant weather for walking.

Are photography and videos allowed?

Photography is generally allowed in public areas, but certain shrine interiors and prayer spaces prohibit photos. Your guide will clearly explain where pictures are permitted so guests can respect local customs.
