Sapporo 1-Day Tour: Shrine, Seafood Market & Shiroi Koibito Park

Meet your guide in front of the Myomu circular white stone structure near the South Exit of JR Sapporo Station. Exit the main JR gates, turn left, and walk toward the South Exits. Your guide will be wearing a Snow Monkey Resorts tour tag. 

Arrive at Hokkaido Shrine, founded in 1869 within the 70-hectare Maruyama Park. The shrine is dedicated to the Shinto deities associated with Hokkaido's development. Your guide will explain the shrine's history and cover basic Shinto etiquette throughout the visit.

Visit the Sapporo Central Wholesale Market, the largest wholesale market in Hokkaido, with over 80 stores and restaurants. The market stocks fresh seafood, including snow crab, king crab, sea urchin, salmon, scallops, oysters, and bluefin tuna, alongside fresh fruit and vegetable stalls. Lunch is not included in the tour price.

Visit the Shiroi Koibito Confectionery Theme Park, home of Sapporo's most recognized souvenir — a chocolate cream sandwiched between langue de chat biscuits. Optional paid activities available for an additional fee include purchasing a personalized cookie tin with a custom photo and a hands-on cookie decorating session. The park's wider attractions are also available to explore during the visit.

Return to JR Sapporo Station, where the tour concludes at the original meeting point.
