Workshop Agenda

Welcome and Kimono Selection

Duration: 20 minutes

Guests are greeted at the temple and briefed on the experience. For those choosing the kimono option, a variety of kimonos and accessories are available, with staff assistance for dressing.

Introduction to Tea Ceremony

Duration: 10 minutes

In the tea room, an introduction to the Ryurei style tea ceremony is provided, explaining the use of chairs and tables and the cultural importance of the practice.

Tea Ceremony Experience

Duration: 30 minutes

Guests participate in the tea ceremony, learning how to prepare and enjoy Matcha tea, guided by an expert instructor in a tranquil setting.

Japanese Calligraphy Lesson

Duration: 30 minutes

The calligraphy session includes basic instruction and practice. Guests can choose to write Kanji characters or their names in Hiragana or Katakana and finish their piece with a personal stamp.

Creating a Lucky Souvenir

Duration: 10 minutes

Guests have the opportunity to write on a Miyajima rice scoop, a traditional good luck item, as a memorable keepsake of the experience.

Farewell and Departure

Duration: 10 minutes

The tour concludes with a farewell, photo opportunities in kimonos (if chosen), and a collection of calligraphy works and rice scoops.
