Mizuki Shigeru Memorial Hall is a museum in Sakaiminato City, Tottori Prefecture, dedicated to manga artist Mizuki Shigeru (1922-2015), creator of the iconic supernatural manga series GeGeGe no Kitaro. Born in Sakaiminato, Mizuki became one of Japan's most influential manga artists, specializing in yokai (supernatural creatures) stories that blended folklore with modern storytelling. The museum opened in 2003 to honor his contributions to Japanese popular culture and to preserve his legacy in his hometown. Mizuki's work, particularly GeGeGe no Kitaro, introduced yokai mythology to modern audiences through manga, anime, and films, becoming foundational to Japanese supernatural entertainment genres.

The memorial hall holds cultural significance as a comprehensive archive of Mizuki's artistic career spanning over 60 years. Exhibits include original manga manuscripts, sketches, personal belongings, and materials documenting his experiences as a soldier in World War II, which profoundly influenced his later work. The museum explores Mizuki's fascination with yokai folklore collected from across Japan and internationally, displaying his research materials and character development processes. His distinctive artistic style, combining detailed backgrounds with expressive character designs, revolutionized manga aesthetics and influenced subsequent generations of artists.

Visitors to the museum can view chronologically arranged exhibitions tracing Mizuki's life from childhood through his military service, post-war struggles, and eventual success as a manga artist. Displays include recreated work spaces showing his creative process, life-size yokai statues based on his character designs, and interactive exhibits explaining yokai mythology and folklore traditions. Outside the museum, Mizuki Shigeru Road extends through central Sakaiminato, featuring over 170 bronze yokai statues lining the street, creating an outdoor gallery connecting to the memorial hall experience.

The museum is located approximately 10 minutes on foot from Sakaiminato Station on the JR Sakai Line. From Yonago, the regional transportation hub, the journey to Sakaiminato takes roughly 45 minutes by local train. Visitors from major cities can reach Yonago via the JR San'in Main Line or by air through Yonago Kitaro Airport, which features GeGeGe no Kitaro theming throughout its terminals. The airport is approximately 15 minutes by bus from Sakaiminato.
