1-Day Tour from Kanazawa & Toyama: Snow Wall and Mysterious Valley

Guests from Kanazawa meet outside the Shinkansen ticket gates in front of the information center, marked by three large sumo wrestler figures. Guests from Toyama meet in front of the Tourist Information Center at Toyama Station near the spiral stairs. Your guide will be wearing a Snow Monkey Resorts tour tag. 

Stop at the base of Mount Tateyama in Ashikuraji. Visit Oyama Shrine, the historical starting point of the mountain pilgrimage, and Enma-do, a shrine dedicated to Enma, the deity who judges the souls of the dead. A bridge in the ravine below marks the boundary between the world of the living and the realm of the dead in local belief. 

Lunch break near Murodo Station. Restaurant options are limited. Bringing a packed meal or bento purchased before departure is strongly recommended.

Walk the snow wall corridor at Murodo, where walls reach up to 20 meters. The walk takes approximately 35 minutes. Free time follows to explore the surrounding Murodo highlands at 2,450 meters within Chubu Sangaku National Park.
