A Must-Do Tour!
My husband and I travel extensively and always feel a paid tour is worth the money, and this was no exception! Yes, you could use Google translate on every sign you pass, but you would miss all the cultural tidbits and nuance.
Worth the hike.
Loved our hidden hiking tour with Kan to Fushimi Inari. His youthful enthusiasm and friendliness made the trip for all of us but especially my daughter and son in law who had so many questions for Kan and he happily answered them. We really did feel like we were discovering some hidden and ancient spots on the hill. It was a moderate hike and not a problem for us but we took it slow through the uneven, leaf covered and sometimes slippery spots in the early part of the hike. So worth it to avoid the crowds towards the end. One of our best, most memorable days. Wear shoes with some tread and bring water. A rain tried to blow in briefly but we were peeling our jackets off soon.
