上高地の中心にある静かな宝石・明神池は、自然の穏やかな美しさに浸れる場所です。河童橋から徒歩約1時間の場所に位置し、澄み切った水は神道の伝統で神聖なものとして崇められています。

この地域には穂高神社があり、毎年「御水返し」の儀式が行われ、この静謐な場所に神聖な雰囲気を与えています。切り立った崖と豊かな緑に囲まれた明神池は、紅葉の季節から春の新緑まで、季節ごとに表情を変える美しい景観を楽しめます。

訪れる人は2つの主要な散策路を歩くことができ、それぞれ異なる景観や野生動物との出会いのチャンスがあります。池は2つの部分から成り、その鏡のような美しさと静けさで知られています。

訪れるのに最適なのは早朝で、光が池の表面に幻想的な反射を生み出します。静かな散策を楽しむにも、10月に開催される例大祭・船の御奉納に参加するにも、明神池は心に残る体験を約束してくれます。
