Nobeoka Station

Nobeoka Station serves as the primary railway gateway to Nobeoka City in northern Miyazaki Prefecture, Kyushu. The station originally opened in 1923 as part of the Nippo Main Line expansion and has remained a crucial transportation hub connecting the region's industrial and commercial centers. The current station building underwent modernization in the early 2000s, reflecting Nobeoka's transformation from a traditional castle town to an industrial city known for its chemical and fiber manufacturing.

Nobeoka Station is accessible via the Nippo Main Line, with limited express trains from Miyazaki taking approximately 1 hour and services from Kumamoto requiring around 3 hours. The station also connects to the Takachihokyo Line, though this service has been limited since typhoon damage. Local buses depart from the station plaza, providing connections to surrounding attractions and residential areas.
