This class was a great way to introduce us to Japanese home cooking as we had booked an Airbnb for a few days in Kyoto. We really enjoyed our cooking class in Miho’s lovey home - she was so friendly and helpful. We ate the delicious meal we cooked in her beautiful tatami room with looking out into an elegant Japanese garden. It was a nice walk along the canal to the supermarket where Miho introduced us to the mysteries of Japanese food shopping.
The area is lovely and really convenient for the Fushimi Inari Shrine which we visited after.

A memorable afternoon
One of the best things you can do when visiting Japan! Highly recommend spending the afternoon with Miho. Menu selection was simple and easy. It was exactly the type of cooking class I was looking for. Simple home cooking. She taught me how to make variations to what we were making on the day. Highly recommend the trip to the supermarket also. She offered lots of insight into the staple ingredients typically used in Japanese dishes. A memorable afternoon for sure!
