I really enjoyed this botanical garden. There are several large atria housing numerous tropical plant species. The musa paradiaca are absolutely huge. There are some interesting birds in the facilities, too. I went during a weekday and there was almost no one around. If you love plants, it's well worth a visit. Though it's a bit difficult to get to if you're not driving. I took the JR highway bus from Tateyama Stn. and walked a bit. I would definitely return.
Quiet place to view tropical plants. The place also offers good backgrounds for photo ops!
I loved the tropical rainforest garden and for family with kids, the animals feeding experience is good too. Some of the animals were not looking well and the space assigned to each species was too small for some.
The entrance fee is reasonable and the parking is free so it's not bad. The Hawaiian dance show was nice.
However it only has a little cafe that serves junk food. There are limited options and the taste was bad so I recommend you eat somewhere else after your visit to the park.
Very chill place, you can stroll at your own pace and the place is not overwhelming. Takes two hours to slowly do the whole park.
You can buy snacks for the animals and for 500 yen you get a big bucket of vegetables to feed almost all the animals. It was a lot of fun.
The loco moco at the cafe, however, was microwaved and not worth 1,050 yen.
Big free parking lot, though.
All in all, I'm satisfied.
Awesome place! Very large area to walk around. You can walk goats and hold geniepigs. Moderate cost and very kid friendly. Free parking. Lots of animals.
