Great beach for swimming, not so much for snorkeling. Swimming area is roped off and all the coral is dead inside that area. Otherwise, fantastic clear water! There is a camp site just off the sand as well.
The best place to see the sunset. The beach is really clean, water is perfect and there’s public bathroom/shower near. You can also rent snorkeling gear at the parking, we loved to swim there, so many fishes !
Nice beach, not crowded, safeguard are present. Too bad the area is limited, to protect the coral, but still OK so see a lot of different fish, if u are lucky turtles too.
I've been to Zamami twice. The first time was in 2019, when I spent around two months there between March and May. This beach will always be my favorite place in the world. We arrived before the season had started, so we had the beach to ourselves. There were no restrictions, and we could snorkel wherever we liked.
But it was a very different place compared to my second visit in November 2025. My heart broke when I realized that most of the corals and fish were gone. During my first stay, the beach was rich with colorful corals of all kinds and plenty of fish of all shapes and colors. Now most of it is gone.
It's crazy that this happened in the span of only six years. That's why I'll be forever grateful for the opportunity to witness it in its full glory back then. I understand why they restricted the swimming area, but unfortunately it didn’t save the corals. I hope that one day I’ll come back and the sea life at Ama Beach will be restored and as rich as I remember it.
not the best beach to go snorkeling because of the pretty small area where you´re allowed to swim and there´s not many corals in that area.
