Canal City Hakata is a very impressive shopping and entertainment complex in Fukuoka. The place is huge, clean and well designed, with many shops, restaurants, cafés and interesting things to explore. I really like the atmosphere here because it feels lively, modern and very tourist friendly. The floor map and directory are easy to use, which makes it convenient to find different stores and dining options.
It is a great place to spend a few hours, especially when the weather is hot or raining outside. There are plenty of choices for shopping, food and relaxing, and the overall environment feels comfortable and enjoyable. The design of the mall is also unique, making it more interesting than a normal shopping centre.
Overall, Canal City Hakata is definitely worth visiting when in Fukuoka. A very enjoyable 5 star experience.
This place truly has it all; you can easily spend the whole day here, walking from morning till evening, or afternoon till night. The things I spent the most money on were souvenirs—especially shoes. I bought multiple pairs, both for myself and as gifts for others, simply because of the significant price difference.
A shopping mall which has a variety of shops for shopping. I did not walk through the mall much, and only went to a small area but I saw some clothes shops, sports wear shop, desserts shop, Cafe, and lots of nice restaurant to choose from! The river or canel area is a nice and peaceful area where you can sit down and rest or chat with friends at. It has a few area which are farther away from the crowd so that it's quieter. There's also a shop with claw machines on the fourth floor. The ice cream shop at the first floor has really interesting crepes. There are some nice restaurant on the second or third storey, from sushi, to tendon etc
Shops are all clean and modern looking.
