Traveler reviews

This department store is like a Japanese version of Walmart. Mostly everything can be found in this place. We visited in the evening around 8-9pm m, it’s not super crowded but as it’s in the tourist area, expect people regardless. The check out line took roughly 7-10 minutes wait, it’s not dreadful. It’s a nice experience and I was definitely over stimulated and wanted to buy A LOT of cute things- the only thing holding me back is luggage space.

Pretty cool store for a Canadian! Like a Walmart on steroids. Has everything you can imagine. A great place for souvenirs. Some prices are more than I was expecting like some locals have pointed out. Staff was great in the morning hours.

Stopped by Don Quijote Asakusa while exploring Asakusa. Like most Donki stores, it’s packed with everything — snacks, cosmetics, souvenirs, and random fun items you didn’t plan to buy. The store is bright, busy, and a bit chaotic in a fun way. Great place to pick up Japanese snacks or last-minute souvenirs after visiting Sensoji and walking around the area. It can get pretty crowded, especially in the evening with tourists, but that’s part of the Donki experience. If you enjoy treasure-hunt style shopping, this place is definitely worth a stop in Asakusa.

Don Quijote in Asakusa is a must-visit store. It’s a huge shop spread over several floors, packed with everything you can imagine! From snacks and cosmetics to quirky souvenirs and unique Japanese items, it’s a great place to browse and find great deals. The staff were helpful, and the location is super convenient near Asakusa’s main attractions. However, the checkout line on the upper floor was very long…….

I went on 17 January. There are no areas tagged with Halal food anymore. I used app to check the halal status and bought a lot of Alfort and Black Thunder. The rest have to check on the app before buying. Souvenirs are cheaper on Nakamise Streetb compared to at this Donki. Pharmacy and beauty items are OK to buy, good price and selection.
