The shopping street was the only one of this type in the island. There were many shops selling souvenirs, but closing time was quite early. Parking lots were not easily found. Drivers had to drive into narrow lanes to check, otherwise, the car had to be parked near the pier and travellers required sometime to walk to the area. Only a few eateries were found because most of them operated in another place nearby.
Not really a mall, but more like a network of shopping streets. Despite that, we really enjoyed the area—there are plenty of hidden gems if you explore beyond the main path. If you stick only to the main street, it’s mostly souvenir shops selling snacks and gifts. There’s also a food court in the middle, but I’d probably skip it and try one of the eateries outside instead.
Perfect covered market in Ishigaki City! We visited during a rainy typhoon afternoon and it was an absolute lifesaver. The entire shopping street is fully covered, so you can walk around without worrying about the weather. It has a great local atmosphere with lots of small shops selling traditional souvenirs, local crafts, and unique snacks. The kids loved the famous Blue Seal ice cream (the sea salt and purple sweet potato flavors are a must-try!) and we also bought some delicious Sata Andagi (Okinawa donuts). Highly recommended for a relaxing walk, shopping, and shelter on a bad weather day!"
Cute little mall street. Lots of souvenir shops and food markets. You can find Ishagaki glass and jewelry. People are very nice and there is a public restroom. Clothing and beachwear aplenty. Worth an hour or two.
The mall had all kinds of souvenirs and things like bags, hats, bottles, food and much more. However the place isn't very clean, there are mosquitos and lots of dirty things.
