Interesting to wander around and great views from the top. The museum had lots of information, a large amount was available in English. It was much less crowded that Osaka and Okayama castles, but no less interesting. Easy to buy tickets from the vending machine and it gives a discount to other nearby attractions.
Very close to the train station.
Very nice place to enjoy Hanami and have a bento in the castle park.
The museum has a nice collection of artifacts, mini-movies and entertainment such as racing on a mechanical horse a mousquet firing simulation.
Friendly staff and nice exhibitions.
Movies and main posters have English translation, the other pieces have only Japanese explanations.
A magnificent castle that was recently renovated. What makes it special is that there are many interactive activities and exhibitions inside, making the visit very engaging and fun compared to other more traditional castles. A great place to learn about history while having a good time!
Better than Osaka Castle! Well inside it is 100%. Great place with a faction of the crowds. Worth a visit for sure. Really enjoyed the displays inside.
The castles throughout Japan are architecture gems. The ones that are still standing are true survivors. They been reconstructed and preserved. This one I think is more grand than the Hiroshima Castle, even though Hiroshima Castle surround areas are more open. I did enjoy visiting this place and definitely a must visit if you are in the area.
