Traveler reviews
This is a wonderful park located in Gora, Hakone, offering a large and spacious environment where families can easily spend an enjoyable day together. The grounds are much larger than they first appear, providing plenty of room to explore, relax, and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.
One of the highlights is the variety of attractions and adventure-style activities available for children. There are many opportunities for kids to play, explore, and stay entertained, making it an excellent destination for families looking for an active and fun outdoor experience. Special events and seasonal activities are also often held, adding even more reasons to visit.
The only point to keep in mind is that the park includes some slopes and hilly areas. While this is part of what gives the park its scenic character, it can be a little challenging for very young children or for those pushing strollers over longer distances.
Overall, this is a highly recommended family destination in Hakone, combining nature, outdoor activities, and children's attractions in a beautiful setting. It’s a great place to create memorable family experiences, especially for those traveling with kids.
The most wonderful gardens! The entry free is not expensive, and you get a beautiful view of the flowers and water fountain in the centre. There’s a variety of shops and food/drink available, as well as a traditional tea ceremony. I highly recommend visiting this place at least once (tickets allow entry for the day and the day after).
A beautifully maintained park with plenty of colorful flowers and a centerpiece fountain. Entrance is free with the Hakone Pass. Very pleasant to walk the various paths and enjoy the magnificent blooms. On the way there we can also see the Hakonetozan train pass by.
A great wander around a nicely crafted garden. The greenhouses are quite special and there are a few other special spots throughout, such as the water fountain.
Winter you will complete the whole park around 1-1.5 hours.
I think it would be nicer during spring and autumn where there are a lot more gardens flowering.
