This is a wonderful park located in Gora, Hakone, offering a large and spacious environment where families can easily spend an enjoyable day together. The grounds are much larger than they first appear, providing plenty of room to explore, relax, and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.
One of the highlights is the variety of attractions and adventure-style activities available for children. There are many opportunities for kids to play, explore, and stay entertained, making it an excellent destination for families looking for an active and fun outdoor experience. Special events and seasonal activities are also often held, adding even more reasons to visit.
The only point to keep in mind is that the park includes some slopes and hilly areas. While this is part of what gives the park its scenic character, it can be a little challenging for very young children or for those pushing strollers over longer distances.
Overall, this is a highly recommended family destination in Hakone, combining nature, outdoor activities, and children's attractions in a beautiful setting. It’s a great place to create memorable family experiences, especially for those traveling with kids.
The most wonderful gardens! The entry free is not expensive, and you get a beautiful view of the flowers and water fountain in the centre. There’s a variety of shops and food/drink available, as well as a traditional tea ceremony. I highly recommend visiting this place at least once (tickets allow entry for the day and the day after).
Hakone Gora Park has a really nice mix of French-style garden design and a subtle Japanese feel, which makes the whole place stand out. I enjoyed wandering around and spotting some unusual plant varieties along the way. It’s a relaxing stop in Hakone, and being included with the Hakone Free Pass makes it an easy place to add to the day.
My friend and I made lampwork beads and had a wonderful time at the craft house.
The gardens were gorgeous and breathtaking, we wish we dressed fancier because there were countless spots for beautiful pictures.
There was a live violin concerto in a rose garden pavilion that made my day.
By accident, we passed by the Hakone Gora Park and we really enjoyed it. It's like a hidden gem. There were so many different areas inside of that park.
For example, the glass house with a lot of plants and trees, the water fountain, the craft shop. So therefore I didn't expect anything, but it's really a beautiful place where you can escape for one day and can truly relax and enjoy the nature. Highly recommended.
