There is a shrine in the island. The view of the sea is good, but hot days are hell.
This makes a perfect side trip from Kamo Aquarium! Beautiful in the summer, and great for beach parties!
The rocks on the left are teeming with crabs and hermit crabs! ❣️ If you cross the bridge, you'll find a fishing pond and can walk around the entire island. ✨ Apparently, the water on the other side of the island is incredibly clear! 😍 It's like Enoshima in the Tohoku region...
We'll save the fun for when the kids are a little older! 🥰
If you go to the very tip of the island, you'll (probably) be able to see a spectacular view of the Sea of Japan. Currently, the road that circles the island is closed due to falling rocks.
Even so, you'll be impressed by the crystal clear waters spreading out below you as you cross the bridge, and you can also view the beautiful Sea of Japan from the top of Hakusan Shrine, which is 70 meters high. You'll have to push your way through weeds to get there... There's also a fishing pond, which seems to be popular.
I'd like to return once the road is reopened.
