I'm a foreigner living on a neighboring island. I always recommend for visitors to see this park and climb the tower to the viewpoint. The view of the surrounding islands is unmatched. It's, of course, particularly lovely when the cherry trees are blooming. But it's a fantastic view any time of year. It really puts the Seto Sea into perspective.
It was well worth coming up here to climb the deck and get a full 180-degree view. No one there when I went. I imagine in summer busy, but I was there spring. I drove the circuit route. Very narrow going up and luckily only saw one car when I had stopped to take photos or one of us would have had to reverse.
There are toilet facilities in the parking area. Some nice natural stone structures and Buddha statues. The view is what you go for and the peace.
Amazing views from the lookout. Narrow winding road to get there. We went on a nice clear day and were the only people up there! Could have been mistaken for being abandoned. Has toilets up there too. Worth the stop if you have time.
A very beautiful park on a slight hill full of cherry blossom trees of various variety, overlooking the seas. It is wonderfully beautiful during sunset, and the park is brightly lighted with lanterns and street lamps. Very popular with the locals.
The park is best reached by car, with parking available near the entrance. It is about a 20-minute drive from Imabari City. Public transportation options are limited, so a taxi or rental car is recommended.
Spring (late March to early April) is ideal for cherry blossoms, while mid-November offers beautiful autumn foliage. Clear days provide the best views of the Seto Inland Sea.
