What other travelers are saying about Hiroshima City Asa Zoological Park
Highly recommend. Wide parking lot(come earlier than the opening time so you can park near the entrance), lots of animals, cheap tickets. There's a picnic area so you can bring your own food.
Lovely place! Unfortunately, when I went, the red panda route was closed off (because of a bear?? Haha) but it was a lovely experience and all the animals looked lovely!
Diverse zoo.
lots of food and drinks scattered around.
Some enclosures are fantastic size giving lots of room for the animals, except a couple for example the Tiger.
Cheap entry with a long walk around the big zoo.
Nice restaurants inside the zoo too.
Has lockers for 100-200¥
Not too far to travel, nice cheap parking and tickets. (Lots of parking) Friendly staff, easy to navigate map. Interesting Animals, small enough to enjoy in one day, big enough to feel well exercised by the end of the day. A well thought out zoo. My only suggestion would be to bring your own lunch as the food in the restaurant was not very nice for the price.
