What other travelers are saying about Hiroshima City Transportation Museum
Tons of fun especially for little boys. I have two preschoolers. Interesting bikes outside. And if you enjoy cars and engineering, you’ll enjoy it as an adult too.
Yes, the museum is very much catered to children, featuring an outdoor play area where kids can ride model vehicles and bikes.
The most convenient way to get to the museum is via the Astram Line, which runs from Hondori in the heart of Hiroshima city. The museum is best accessed from Chorakuji Station on this line.

The museum documents the history of the bullet trains from the first one launched in 1964, to the present N700 series. It also has hundreds of model, planes, ships, trains, cars, and other vehicles.
Its okay. Large museum but few exhibits. On the plus side it is cheap and lots of space for kids to run around. However not many interactive exhibits for kids, lots of models behind glass. Kids did enjoy riding bicycles outside. Pay at the vending machine near the information desk. Guides in both japanese and english. If your in the area stop by, people are nice.
Small transportation museum.
Cheep craft place with friendly and kind volunteer people.
¥510 for an adult and free for children up until junior high school. The models are impressive. Good to combine with the zoo as well.
