Kamado shrine is a very serene and peaceful shrine tucked into the mountains of Dazaifu city. It receives fewer tourists than the neighbouring Dazaifu Shrine. The busses are fairly frequent and can reach this spot from Dazaifu station and Gojo station. Be aware of the many bees that live in the area, they fly everywhere, even in the charm shop. The charms are worth the money and is intricately designed.
The bus to Kamado Shrine was quite small and packed with tourists. We went two days ago, and the cherry blossoms were absolutely beautiful. As a Demon Slayer fan, it was such a fun and exciting place to visit! 🌸
This is a peaceful shrine, though visitors come by to pray from time to time. It’s well-known for the popular anime Demon Slayer, which you can see on the wish plaques where people draw Demon Slayer characters. There’s also an area selling charms, with beautifully designed buildings. Additionally, there’s a spot where you can sit and enjoy the view from above, making it a very relaxing and scenic place to visit.
Like many others, we first visited this shrine as part of our demon slayer pilgrimage trip. However, there's much more to the shrine than just the anime aspect. When we visited, the place was tranquil and peaceful, and we took an enjoyable stroll around the premises.
Peaceful shrine with a souvenir shop with some fun charms I had not seen in other similar places. As a Demon Slayer fan I was amazed at the drawings of the characters :)
I bet the gardens around the shrine are beautiful during fall.
